Friday Fun - November 6, 2026

Welcome to my Friday Fun post. This is where I share with three different book parties that post on Fridays: First Line Friday, Friday Book Snippets, and Book Blogger Hop.

This week I have two books to share with you.

I'm starting Royally Persuaded by Janelle Leonard. This is the second book in her Royally Austen series.

I'm also starting Come, All Ye Faithful by A.M. Heath. This is the seventh book in her Christmas in Garland series and it releases on November 9th.

First Line Friday

(Please join Carrie for First Line Friday.)

Here are my First Line Friday selections:

Royally Persuaded by Janelle Leonard:

"The first note strikes like a memory I didn't know I still had."

I wondered where the note was coming from, what kind of note it was, and what the memory actually was.

Come, All Ye Faithful by A.M. Heath:

"'Hey, Rosie.' The deep, familiar voice sent a delightful wave snaking through my middle. 'Long time, no see.'"

It sounds like the voice belongs to someone Rosie wouldn't mind seeing. I wondered who it was and why she hadn't seen him for so long.

Friday Book Snippets

Friday Book Snippets is the new weekly blog party that has combined Book Beginnings on Friday and Friday56. Participants can link up at either Bemused & Bookish with Olivia or Head Full of Books with Anne. Here are the instructions:
Share two snippets (a sentence or short paragraph) from a) the book's opening and b) page 56 (or another page) from the book you are currently reading. No spoilers, please.

Here are my selections from page 56 or 56% of the way through the books:

Royally Persuaded by Janelle Leonard:

"'We must have a Seymorr in attendance at the wedding,' Father continues. 'You will have to go Nadalie.'
'But the Summit-'
'Father is correct. He and I are needed here, so you must represent the family.'
I long to yell, to fight, to say that I can't go to Lythora. Because Andreas wouldn't miss his step-brother's wedding.
Would I be able to handle seeing him again?"

Come, All Ye Faithful  by A.M. Heath:

"I didn't want to bake any today, but I could decide on my recipes and check for ingredients. Anything to get me further away from the library.
I searched my phone for some classic cookie recipes while I walked into the kitchen. I went straight to the pantry to search for flour and sugar. Pulling the door open, I drew up short at the small boy sitting on the pantry floor."

Book Blogger Hop.

The Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Billy over at Ranblings of a Coffee-Addicted Writer. The hop occurs weekly, starting on Friday and ending the following Thursday, featuring a specific book-related prompt each week. The main goal is to connect bloggers, encouraging them to follow each other, discover new titles, and grow their audience.

This week's question is: Imagine you owned a bookstore-what would it feel like?

My answer: Oh I would want it to be cozy with reading nooks and comfy furniture where people could relax to read books, and then there would be another side with a coffee and snack bar. Yes, I created something like this on Animal Crossing.

And now it is time to share my current Reviews:

Last week I shared about two books. Here are my reviews:

Two weeks ago I had shared about two books. I had finished the one, but not the other. Here is that other review:
