Friday Fun

Time for Friday fun again.
First, MizB over at Should be Reading hosts

What great books did you hear about/discover this past week? Share with us your FRIDAY FINDS!

I just discovered Shades of Blue by Karen Kingsbury.  HSMomma over at A Little Book Nook posted about the August Christian Fiction Book of the Month Club book.  It sounds interesting and I am going to read it and hopefully join in for the discussions.  Check out the Book Club here:

Another fun Friday event is The  Friday  56 over at Storytime with Tonya and Friends

Optional F56 Logos

Rules:
* Grab the book nearest you. Right now.
* Turn to page 56.
* Find the fifth sentence.
* Post that sentence (plus one or two others if you like) along with these instructions on your blogor (if you do not have your own blog) in the comments section of this blog.
*Post a link along with your post back to this blog.
* Don't dig for your favorite book, the coolest, the most intellectual. Use the CLOSEST.

My Friday 56 is from Deadline by Randy Alcorn, this is a book I finished but have yet to review, which is why it is still close and not back at the library.

"The shekinah glory of God dwelt in the temple.  Ezekiel watched it depart.  When it was gone, the temple was called 'Ichabod.' In the holy language it means 'the glory has departed.'

Book Blogger Hop

RULES:  (in hopes of simplifying things for everyone!)

1.  Enter your book blog link in the Linky List at Crazy For Books (be sure to include how long you've been blogging and what genres you review!).  If you post about the Hop on your blog, please link directly to your Hop post (don't forget to answer this week's question - see below!).

2.  Visit other blogs in the Linky List!  Make new friends!  Follow new book bloggers!  Talk about books!  Rave about authors! (Please do not leave your link and not visit other blogs - it's just not cool and not in the spirit of the Hop!)

3.  Post about the Hop on  your blog!  Spread the word about the book party!  The more the merrier!

4. In your blog post, answer the following question (new question each week!):
RIGHT THIS INSTANT, WHAT BOOK ARE YOU DYING TO GET YOUR HANDS ON (PAST, PRESENT, OR FUTURE)?

The book I am dying to get my hands on may never even get written, it is Midnight Sun by Stephenie Meyer.  I have read what she has online so far and the story of Twilight from Edward's perspective is so incredibly insightful.  However, seeing as this will possibly never be written and published I would have to say I am most interested in getting my hands on the Seaport Series by Kathy Herman.  I will probably get all of them out at the same time as the Baxter series was very quick reading.  But I have several at home I need to finish first and review.
